Many are embracing technology to make the experience more enjoyable and accessible. For example, electronic chip tracking allows casinos to monitor the exact amount of money wagered minute by minute, and roulette wheels are electronically monitored to discover any statistical deviations from their expected results.

Because of the large amounts of cash handled within a casino, both patrons and staff may be tempted to cheat or steal, either in collusion or independently. As a result, most casinos have security measures in place to prevent this from happening.
