Healthy Balsamic Vinaigrette!
I’m not sure about you but I love to add a little something extra to my salad using salad dressing. I try to stay away from store bought dressing as they are very high in fats, even some of the vinaigrette’s. In the past I have just used balsamic vinaigrette as a healthy alternative, but the extremely tart taste has grown a little old for me. So… it was time to create another one to add some variety in my life
Here is a tasty and easy alternative to store bought dressings:
Easy Balsamic Vinaigrette:
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup smooth dijon mustard
- (optional) splenda brown sugar to taste if you would like your dressing a little sweeter
- (optional) freshly minced garlic
Whisk together until all ingredients are combined to make a nice smooth mixture.
And vuala! Your easy breezy dressing is made. I find that if I add a small amount to my salad and mix it in well, that I get a nice even coat with good flavor, without using to much.
