The Best 10 Stores in Paris

Zara

Now I realize this isn’t a “Parisian” store, but my first experience with Zara was here in Paris.  I absolutely LOVE their style- very trendy yet stylish and classic.  My favorites things to buy were the jackets and blazers, belts, and tops (I bought 2 jackets from here even though it’s about to be summer- haha)  I must have went into every Zara here- all 8 of them ;)

New Look

I realize this isn’t a Parisian brand either (I think it’s English?), but it’s still a great store to check out!  This is very similar to H&M- it has a great variety of clothes at a fair price.  I bought a beautiful black Maxi dress for only 20 Euros!  I love their dresses, tops, and shoes.  Warning:  do not try to go here on a Saturday as you’ll want to push people out of the store.  It’s SUPER crowded- so much, that you can barely move in there sometimes…   Wear comfy shoes too, as you’ll be in there awhile ;)

NAF NAF

This is another clothing shop, but a little more pricey than New Look and very boho inspired.  The tops and jackets were so cute, plus they had fun accessories! It seemed like a store that Lauren Conrad would shop in…  I only saw one of these stores and it was in Champs Elysses.

H & M

I feel like there is an H & M on every corner here! I think that they have different selections to what we have in the US. I love this store and would visit it no matter where in the world I was, as they offer the latest fashions and for an EXTREMELY low price.  Laugh at me all you want, but I shopped here like 5 times while in Paris as you just can’t beat the price and variety :)

Monoprix

Monoprix can be your one-stop-shop while you’re here in Paris. They have everything from groceries to makeup to household wares and everything in between. It’s the closest thing to Target, but not quite as big and are all over Paris.

Printemps

This is the exact alternative to Macys or Nordstroms:  a large high end department store.  I would shop here for my shoes, accessories, or nice tops that I wanted to splurge on.  (I found some really cute black sparkly heels here :) )   Nicola found a beautiful ring from Agatha- a reasonably priced jewelry line with beautiful rings, bracelets, and earrings.

Pharmacie

The Pharmacie is where you can get your prescriptions as well as your skin care products. France is known for their amazing skincare lines, and the pharmacie is the place to get them.  You can spot them all over Paris by their big green plus signs outside.  Make sure to check out the brands Avene, La Roche Posay, Bioderma, and Nuxe (some of these brands are available in the US, but not all products are sold)

Promod

I found a REALLY cute shirt here for 14 euros, need I say more :)  Promod is similar to Zara but a little cheaper- they have cute clothes, purses, and accessories that won’t break your wallet.  My favorites purchases here was my purse, jacket, and shirt.  (geez, I sound like a complete shopaholic right now… haha)

Yves Rocher

It’s like a Bath and Body Works that sells makeup. It’s the perfect combo!  I absolutely loved their hand soaps, lotions, and lipglosses.  I wish I could have bought more makeup products as they seemed really nice, but I spent too much on my clothes and shoes ;)

Tati

Tati is a sort of bargain store that sells items such as clothing, domestic wares, toiletries, cosmetics and jewelry. Even though some of the items seem to be cheap you can still find great bargains in there! It reminds me of Kmart or Walmart- they have everything you can think of, and the prices are amazing.   Just be prepared to stand in line a bit as the crowds are insane!

    • DesignFriend

       She never said it was!

    • Rachael54

wow she flat out said she knew it was NOT a parisian store…maybe you should read stephsantos1

  • Marox79

Zara is actually a Spanish store, as Stephsantos1 commented before me. It belongs to the Inditex group, just like Bershka, Massimo Dutti, Kiddy’s Class. Mango is also Spanish, but belongs to a different company.

You’ll be happy to know that Yves Rocher has a US website/online shop. :) (Yeah, I looked it up after your haul video. :) ) Prices are pretty reasonable.

I think Zara does too. *checks* Yes, they do! :) (There may even be stores in the US, too? Maybe, possibly?)

Who cares what store is from where. Marlena was just giving a review of her favorite stores that she happened to spot. Some of the stores mentioned here are located in the US and I happen to adore Zara and their looks. Thanks for sharing Marlena. I’m glad you had a good time abroad. Please post new tutorials soon :)

  • DesignFriend

Zara sells online now, Marlena :) Free shipping! You should check out their SF stores sometime! There are 2!

  • Janine Learner

I buy a lot at New Look and H&M as they do great plus size clothes that are pretty cheap and versatile. I’m at New Look at least once a week, there’s one about 5 minutes away and I spend a fortune in there on accessories, they’re so cheap.

  • Ellie

Lol, it’s funny to see the pharmacy (in Italy the sign is the same and they sell the same things) listen with the best stores. I would never think of a pharmacy as a place to go shopping. :D
Oh, and Pro Mod is my favorite store when I’m back home!

  • Mita

I wish, you could make a Paris shopping Haul video and show us all the stuffs that you bought.. It would be great.. Love you Marlena : you make us feel beautiful and special …

You may already know this, but Yves Rocher is based in Montreal, Canada and they have a very customer-friendly home shopping system (is that what it’s called? I don’t know….) but if you sign up for their monthly deals or whatever it is, you get really cool offers in the mail like completely free products (with and without purchase) and they often have 50% off everything, free shipping, etc. I don’t work for them or anything I swear, just love the brand for the value they give. My personal favorite product is their fragrance “Comme Une Evidence”, absolutely DIVINE, got a sample once in the mail and now I can’t live without it :)

Too bad you did not visit Reserve Naturelle it is a nice french-italian brand which sells quite nice and cheap cosmetics + hair and fashion accessories. Can be compared to Claire’s. But i clearly prefer Reserve Naturelle, better quality i think! Maybe next time ? ( you have to come back ;) ) For fashion i love promod.

I think you did not had time but by train at 45 min from paris center you have a very very big shopping center (next to disneyland paris) and just outside there is the paradise for shopping lovers: La Vallée Village. It is like a small village with a lot of very good brands for clothes, bags, shoes… That usually are really expensive but here it is cheaper (and during the sales cheaper and cheaper), very good deals ! It is very “chic and cheap”.

Told you, you have to come back ;)

  • rainyydays10

Hi Marlena, I just watches your Paris vlog and you mentioned that you shopped at the Paris fashion district where there are many tiny boutiques, can you let me know where it is? I’ll be going to Paris soon and I would love to go there to shop :D

Great post! Zara has always been at the top of my list for good, chic and comfortable clothes. I also go to H&M whenever I travel (and I, too visit almost all of their shops lol). Now if only they have stores where I’m at. :)
