My Nails :)

Hello muggies!

I have literally gotten hundreds of you asking about my nails, so I figured I better do a post about them! haha. I always get my nails done in a salon as I’m very hard on my hands and break my nails easily. So… I get the acrylic nails where they use colored powders- this way, if I chip a nail, the color doesn’t come off.

I’m not sure of the exact colors as it comes in little jars at the salon, and there’s no names on them. The best thing to do is print out these pictures or bring them on your phone and show your nail salon or local beauty store to find a similar nail polish. I recently wore “Sparrow Me the Drama” OPI color from the Pirates of Caribbean collection, and had my salon do a gel overlay to make it last. It worked pretty well, so I may try that more often to switch up my colors more

Here’s my light pink nails that have a slight glitter to them- they’re almost white as they’re so light!

And here’s my current nail color- a nice bright pink for summer

What’s your current favorite nail color or design? I’m not sure what I want to try next… I’m thinking a coral color, but I try to keep them a little conservative because I go cray cray with the makeup and jewelry

Hahaha! I love your posts Marlena!! I do my own nails for financial reasons, and have been trying to find a way to make them last longer. I’m hard on my hands as well with all the housework I do.

  I know it’s not the cheapest, but it’s also not the most expensive…. I just bought the sensatioNAIL gel nail system by Nailene (at Walmart $50) and its awesome!! Works really well, protects and does not damage my nails, and lasts! Highly recommend it for at-home nail girls like us!

I love bright and popping colors when other people where it but when I want to try it myself, I feel it doesn’t suit me lol. So i also try to keep it neutral or cranberry-redish colors look gorgeous as wel! I used to bite my nails really bad but now I get compliments and people ask if they are my real nails, so I’m already happy with what I have

Here in Italy we have a gorgeous low cost brand called ASTRA and recently came out with amazing colours comparable with April, May and June by Chanel!

I got my nails done like this yesterday, the nail lady didn’t like the idea too much she kept suggestion pink n white, rock stars n some other stuff…but I like the one acrylic color, I think mine are white or very close to white, and work length…I live them thank you for the idea girl! Much <3

I really recommend trying the Sensationail LED gel at-home kit. I got mine at Walmart for $50. The manicures should last up to
2 weeks. I’m hard on my nails and so far, they’re good as new after 3 days.

I love this colour Marlena and my salon doesn’t have it, though I am trying to get them to order in similar colours… We call coloured gel Bio Sculpture in Autralia. We have a site here where you can see all the colours and ‘try them on’, according to your skin type. I have weak nails too and these rock as they are strong and hardy, I love the, and my hands now look great!

I’m loving your nail color! And I’m really loving this OPI shade from there Pirates of the Caribbean collection from last year called Mermaid Tears. It’s this gorgeous aqua green color. I think that’s fun yet conservative enough for summer so maybe you should try something like that. Just a suggestion

I got the gelish nail kit from Sally’s and I love it! It was about 150 for the light, and all the polish and foundations and things but my manicures last 2-3 weeks with no chips or peeling! It’s an investment but so worth it, I save a ton of money on the salon and can do my friends too!
