How I Organize my Jewelry

Hello my lovies!

I hope you all have had a great week!  I wanted to share with you how I organize my jewelry as it’s such a pain in the butt trying to get all your things organized.  (especially if you’re a jewelry hoarder like me- haha)

So here’s what you need:

I bought 2 cork boards from TJMaxx and Target (the white decorative one is from TJMaxx), and put a bunch of push pins in them to hang my necklaces off of.  I find it’s much easier to see what I have when it’s all out in the open :)

For my rings and earrings, I attached these hooks (the white ones on the left my friend Ashley gave me, but she got from Ross or Marshalls?)  I haven’t found them anywhere else yet…  I bought the clear hooks from Command to hang my rings off of- they stay put much better than on the pushpins, plus they’re super cheap!

For my bracelets, I bought a triple tier organizer from Amazon as it holds tons of bracelets! (I’ll take a picture tomorrow and post here- forgot! whoops)  But I love using this as I can see all my bracelets at one time.

That’s pretty much how I organize all my jewelry!  I’d love to see your pictures of how you organize yours :)

Have a great week, muggies!!
xoxo,
Marlena

I kind of felt in love with them XD

She got them from Marshalls :)  I haven’t seen them though…  But the plastic hooks that I show are a pretty good alternative :)

This is awesome, but don’t you find your jewellery tarnishes really quick when it’s out in the open like that? How do you get around that?…

    • T21pochat

It was a great way to see all of your jewelry, but i too worry about them tarnishing so i keep them all in plastic baggies you can find at any craft store, but i cycle through the ones i want to wear more often and keep to bulk of my collection in clear plastic boxes so that they last longer.

      • DesignFriend

Agreed, I do this too, even inside my jewelry box. Works like a charm.

  • Mforbes629

Personally I don’t like having all my jewelry exposed and out in the open, especially not my (real) silver or gold jewelry. In California, that would ot be too earthquake friendly either! I have jewelry boxes but once I find the ideal piece, I plan to get a jewelry armouir or mirror, maybe something like this.

I agree, I live in Florida and the humidity would ruin my stuff.  I have a jewelry mirror like you are wanting and it’s great.  I got mine off of overstock.com for $99, so be sure to shop around.  It might not be quite as nice as the one you posted but I have been really happy with it!

      • DesignFriend

Sounds like a great find! I just posted the first one I saw that was my style. I don’t really think I need lights on my jewelry ;)

  • Vivianobioha

I think I just found my next DIY project. I simply love this idea. Thank you!!

  • Ajm5015

thats great! i did a make shift type deal for my earring where i cut up a filter that u put in the airconditioner and put the fiberous stuff on the inside of a tall jewlerybox i had and all the earrings i have with the fish hooks will hang on the filter stuff very easily and doesnt mess up.  i like what u have done though, ill have to give that a try cause despite having a jewlery box everything give messy and disorganized

Loved this post, Marlena! Thank you! Right now my necklaces are all crammed on a tiny necklace tree that’s too short and doesn’t have enough branches. Necklaces drag on the dresser and get tangled. I’ve been trying to think of an alternative. This is perfect!

  • Aprzytul

Can you tell me what is the size of the bigger board (that one with the white frame). Thanx :) You are my inspiration :)

  • JPineda

The white strips that your friend got for you at Marshall’s did the package have a name on it? I’m trying to see if I can find it on the Internet. These strips look so handy. Thank you.

  • disqus_AuU7reWOhf

I purchased the bracelet stand off Amazon yet it’s not the same tier. Can you tell me which seller you purchased yours from please?

  • http://twitter.com/itsaKAYDEEthang KADESHIA

I have a ton of jewelry, it’s probably the one thing I hoard besides shoes. Being a college student I travel home frequently and needed something that could easily fit in my suitcase. The clunky drawer organizer wasn’t cutting it so I bought a flat grid storage container with adjustable sections that I found in the hardware department. While great for keeping earrings, rings, and trinkets separate and organized it isn’t ideal for necklaces. It also doesn’t allow me to see exactly what I have. But it’s great for packing.
