Professional Woman Outfit and Nails

When you’re used to the rut of going to work,  it’s hard to come up with different hair, makeup, outfits while still having variety in your look.  So I decided to put together a complete video for you doing makeup, hair, clothes and even some nails so you can look your best when you head out the door!

To begin, let’s get started on the nails. Paint your nails with your favorite red.  Right now I love Essie’s Forever Yummy, it’s a nice cherry red that isn’t to bright, especially for the office. Paint your nails with two coats of the polish until they are opaque and let them dry completely. On your ring finger apply a layer of  top coat and place four gems vertically on your nail while the topcoat is still wet.  After the gems are placed, apply another clear coat of polish to make sure the gems stay into place.

Nails:

  • Essie Nail Polish – Forever Yummy   (Amazon)
  • Clear Top Coat Polish –  (Most Drugstores)
  • Swarovski Crystals – (Michaels Craft Store) or (Amazon)

I decided to keep the work outfit sleek and comfortable. Here I am wearing grey trousers but you could use black or any color you have in your closet or feel comfortable in. I paired that up with my favorite camisole from Express in black. If you wanted to add a pop of color, you could switch up the color of the camisole. To tie this all together I added a light tan blazer from Charlotte Russe (one of my fav stores!)

For shoes, I wanted them to match the jacket and be very neutral as well, so I am wearing nude pumps by Guess. Keeping the jewelry subtle as I didn’t want them to be to much for a day at the office,  I added simple gold accents such as a bracelet, necklace, ring and small earrings to keep things office appropriate.

Outfit Details:

  • Gray Trouser Pants –  The Limited
  • Black Camisole –  Express
  • Tan Blazer –  Charlotte Russe
  • Tan Pumps –  Guess
  • Flower Print Stud Earrings –  Forever 21
  • Gold Chain Necklace  (I bought in Paris, but any gold chain will do)
  • Gold Bracelet  -  Express (I think?)
If you want see a tutorial on the hair and makeup check out www.makeupgeek.com for a detailed breakdown of the products I used. I hope this helps you in finding ways to switch up your wardrobe for the office while keeping you not only looking but feeling stylish as well!

MUCH love,
Marlena

Hi Marlena! you look great! I want to try these outfits out, but I’m worried because I’m a size 16/ XL that they won’t have these kinds of options in store for me. What size do you wear? Thanks!
