Parisian Hair Idea: Twisted Updo

We have seen some beautiful hairstyles while here in Paris- this twisted updo being a popular one! I think because women here keep their makeup simple during the day, they focus more on fashion and hair. The top picture is super easy- just pull your hair in a low side ponytail, then pull your hair halfway through it to twist it.

For the bottom picture, take a stretchy headband and place around your head a la “hippie style” Then curl your hair up and over it, then pin! Super easy yet very cute. (We’ll try to do some videos on it soon)

This looks just like the Topsy Tail they had about 10 years ago. The first one that is. They had a little loop on a plastic piece so you could pull it through like that. You can do it either direction depending on how you want the end to look. You can pull up through or down through.

That’s so neat! I’ve been styling my hair like the one in the first photo for years, and I didn’t even know it was Parisian ;P I might try to second one when I get some Spring/Summer hair accessories.

Hi Marlena. You should check SaraSabate ‘s channel on YT. She is French and her YT channel is dedicated to hair tutorial. Her hairdos are very French. Even if you might not understand everything she says in French, her videos are pretty much self explanatory. I love her videos!!!!
